We believe there is deep meaning in President Lincoln's address and it certainly still rings true today. Government of the people means that government belongs to the people and is accountable to the people. Government by the people means that government is elected by the people and must represent the people it governs. Government for the people means that the government must work for the people's benefit. Lincoln's address also states that this is an ongoing task, to ensure that such government exists. Each and every citizen has the ability to vote, to make sure that our government - on all levels - is accountable to us, consists of represenstatives who are in touch with people's needs, and dutifully works to address them. We are asking for your vote for these very reasons; to ensure accountability, representation and hard work.
It is no secret that our country, our region and our town face serious challenges. To confront these challenges we need bold new ideas and dedicated leadership. We pledge to be dependable, open-minded and hardworking, to see nothing but the success of our township. Our vision for positive change for Hammond includes new ideas, both big and small:

Promote & recruit active participation in town government
Provide agendas at Town Board meetings & maintain an updated website to keep you informed
